from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024:
RABATE OF 45% OFF THE ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION FEE:
Owners who register fully electric cars will receive a rebate of:
- 45% off the Additional Registration Fee (ARF),
- capped at $15,000.
This will narrow the upfront cost gap between electric and internal combustion engine cars.
from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2025:
REBATES BONUS
Rebates for certain categories of vehicles will be increased by $5,000 for cars, and $7,500 for taxis.
from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2023:
ARF Floor Reduction
The ARF floor will be lowered from $5,000 to $0 for fully electric cars and taxis, so that buyers of mass-market electric cars can enjoy the combined EEAI and VES rebates of up to $45,000.

REDUCTION OF ROADTAX BY UP TO 34%
For those whose cars are in the 90-230kW power rating bracket.
This is to ensure that mass-market electric cars pay similar road tax quantum compared to their internal combustion engine equivalents.
