PERFORMANCE REINVENTED

Less than a year after its concept was revealed and only five months after the start of its on-track testing programme,
the PEUGEOT TotalEnergies team has unveiled its race car:the PEUGEOT 9X8, a 4-wheel drive Hybrid hypercar. 
The car made its competitive début at Monza, in the fourth round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Le Mans 24h 2023: the countdown is on for PEUGEOT.

FROM A SKETCH TO THE TRACK

The track tests carried out over the last few months on five

different circuits have confirmed this inventive concept.

Matthias Hossann's Design team and Olivier Jansonnie's Sport team worked together to deliver a sleek, 
elegant race car that inspires emotion and dynamism.
 

What is special about the PEUGEOT 9X8 ? Not having a rear wing has freed up the Hypercar's silhouette making
for harmonious and dynamic sculpted volumes.

POWERTRAIN

A 2.6-litre, twin-turbocharged 520 kW V6 delivers power to the rear wheels, and two 200 kW electric motors drive the front wheels.

BATTERY

The 900 V high voltage battery has been co-developed with TotalEnergies / Saft. Marelli is engineering and supplying a specific high performance electric motor and silicon carbide inverter, which make up the front axle electric drive system.
